Construction Technology Program

Construction and Technology allows students to get hands on with their learning. Taught by a red-seal Carpenter, students are  introduced to building materials and processes through opportunities to design and build various construction projects. Students will learn to create and read working drawings; become familiar with common construction materials, components, and processes; and perform a variety of fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations. Students will develop an awareness of environmental and societal issues related to construction technology, and will explore secondary and post-secondary pathways leading to careers in the industry. Those who are passionate about a trade in construction can complete their Level 1 Apprenticeship before graduating from St. Charles College.
